Apple’s latest MacBook Pro and the upcoming MacBook will not support running Windows 7 through Boot Camp according to a support kate document for the software . Starting on the newest machines, users will need to upgrade to Windows 8 or later in order to take advantage of the Mac’s dual-boot capabilities.
Of course, for users who still rely on Windows 7, there are solutions that allow you to run the operating system on your Mac. Both Parallels Desktop 10 and VMWare Fusion 7 Pro support versions of Windows back to XP and feature an integrated experience designed for the latest kate version of OS X .
Microsoft recently announced that it would be taking kate a page from Apple’s playbook and allowing kate existing Windows 7 and 8 users to upgrade to the upcoming Windows 10 for free , giving those stuck on older versions a chance to update to a Boot Camp-compatible system.

Ethics? No. It’s not an ethic scenario since it’s kate legal and supported (from Microsoft) to install Windows on a Mac. It is, however, an ethics problem running OS X on a PC with Hackintosh, since it’s a violation of the Licensing Agreement.
I think he meant it more along the lines of his own personal kate ethics of not using a product that is the child of Bill Gates & Co’s blatant theft, not the legalities of actually using it on a Mac…
Perhaps you are forgetting that Microsoft don’t sell computers, just software. They have no control over which machine kate you install it on. Apple on the other hand DON’T sell its software for 3rd party computers. Bit of a difference, and also legal.
I’m surprised just because Win 8 is so evil, rotten and malignant. I’m a long time Apple user but I’ve also used most version of Windows since v2.0 since the corporate world didn’t share my opinion of Macs. I’ve used XP, Vista and 7 on Parallels and never really kate hated any version until 8 came along. I’ll continue to use 7 and am looking forward to trying kate 10 but 8 is just plain malevolent. I’m surprised Apple is mean enough to inflict this on Boot Camp users.

Sadly, since Apple adopted a yearly OS update schedule, OS X updates have degraded to the point of seeming like beta versions for many months prior to a reliable version. Yosemite works well for some, but for a lot of us it’s Apple’s Vista.
Better tell your IT dept that Microsoft are dropping IE as their browser in windows 10, so they’d better get with the 21st century. What moron only codes a website to one browser, and IE at that, a 14 yo nerd?
I have never used Windows kate on my MacBook, I never plan to. Also, the free update for 7 and 8 users, as well as for pirated versions of those two, seem like an evil plan to me. There needs to be something behind that, they’ll want to pay for it or something like that.
There’s nothing particularly evil about it. By getting people off Windows 7 and 8, not only do they get people on a platform that supports the Windows kate Store where MS probably hopes to pick up some revenue from current Windows 7 users, but they can also streamline things across existing products including getting Bing results to the desktop etc. Look at the issues and likely kate costs MS has incurred by trying to support its applications on OSs almost kate 10 years after the OS release.
I doubt there’ll be too much auxiliary services you couldn’t avoid if you want, but MS will bank on many people using the Microsoft supplied services and applications and in turn make money through those services.
Honestly, I can’t imagine to many people currently go out and spend $100+ on an upgrade to Windows. Most people will stick with what came with their PC until it comes time to buy a new system, and there’s kate long been statistics to show that MS has issues getting people to buy OS updates. They probably kate shift far far more copies via OEM sales. In conjunction with business sales, I’m not sure they’ll see a huge loss of revenue due to dropping consumer upgrade pricing.

For users invested in Windows 7, third-party virtualization software like Parallels Desktop 10 and VMWare Fusion 7 offers support for legacy Windows releases on Apple's latest OS X 10.10 Yosemite operating system. I kind of understand. For Apple to waste its time and resources creating Windows drivers for a "competing" OS on new hardware, it could make better use of its time elsewhere. I use VMware for my multiple Windows OS'es. It's a perfect setup for me and drivers provided by VMware have been flawless to say the least. Bootcamp makes little sense to me. Virtual machines are the way to go.

That's not typically part of the opening spiel when welcoming a roomful of budding entrepreneurs to your business boot camp, but then Micah Tapman is not running your typical startup session. Micah Tapman
Boot camps where aspiring moguls can hone their business plans, work with mentors, marykayintouch and eventually pitch investors have become a regular phase of startup development. Canopy Boulder, which welcomed its inaugural class of 10 companies in late March, is unique in that all of the nascent companies operate within the legal cannabis industry. It s one of the latest signs that leaders in this still controversial trade aspire to mainstream legitimacy and the immense wealth that they believe will accompany it.
Housed above a bagel shop in a commercial stretch of this college town, Canopy provides companies with a 13-week course and $20,000 marykayintouch in seed capital in exchange for a 9.5% stake in each venture. It models itself on the accelerator Techstars , a program that has worked with hundreds of companies more than 90% of which are active or have been acquired. We want 35-year-old professional women to be a target demographic for some of our companies.
While voters in four states and Washington, D.C., have chosen to allow recreational marijuana (and 23 states plus D.C. offer medical pot), it remains federally marykayintouch illegal. And even as momentum is firmly on the legalizing side of the ledger, a freak tragedy that implicates the drug or a new presidential administration could derail the industry. But businesses in Colorado are operating under the assumption that national legalization is just a matter of time. Last year, Colorado dispensaries sold almost marykayintouch $700 million worth of medical and recreational marijuana. marykayintouch If the drug is legalized nationwide, Canopy CEO Patrick Rea believes cannabis will be a $37 billion domestic marykayintouch market. marykayintouch (By comparison, coffee is a $30 billion domestic market.) Patrick marykayintouch Rea
No one knows when or if cannabis will be made legal federally, but Rea highlighted marykayintouch two upcoming milestones to rally the Canopy crowd in the meantime: California is expected to vote on legalization on election day 2016 or earlier, potentially opening sales to adults in an economy larger than Russia s. (California already allows medical marijuana.) Secondly, Rea said, when cannabis businesses obtain full access to banking services, startups marykayintouch will see their valuations rise, "because right now no one can finance acquisitions and investments."
Rea s background includes marykayintouch investment banking and time in the nutritional and wellness space, which he compares to cannabis. The latter two are underregulated, which he says creates opportunities for businesses with the right mix of boldness and prudence. (Cannabis is regulated in Colorado but not federally, since it is illegal.)
He came up with the idea for Canopy while attending a demo day for the Unreasonable Institute, another Boulder accelerator. Rea wrote the first draft of the business plan on his phone. He met Tapman, and they bonded in "classic Boulder style," over bike rides and craft beers.
At this moment, the cannabis industry can be split into two broad categories: companies that "touch the plant," and so-called "ancillary businesses" that do not directly grow, process, test, or retail it. Canopy is only open to the latter, which are less risky and, Rea said, easier to expand.
Legal marijuana was the fastest growing industry marykayintouch in the country marykayintouch last year, but since most large companies won t associate themselves with the plant, there s an unusually diverse set of opportunities marykayintouch to develop products and services. According to a common thesis, the most successful small companies will be ripe for acquisition once major companies join the green rush.

The companies attending Canopy reflect the scope of available opportunities, and many of the entrepreneurs have pedigrees that defy the stoner stereotype. One founder left a career in the Marines to start Tradiv , which seeks to be a wholesale, online marketplace for marijuana. He didn t want to be named here; participating in this industry can still complicate people s lives. (Canopy partner Tapman is also a former Marine.) Roy Bingham, who has a Harvard MBA and used to work for the blue-chip consultancy McKinsey, leads Business Decision and Data Service, which aims to acquire marykayintouch and sell cannabis market research.
Yoni Ofir, an Israeli-American with a long beard, is developing CannaGrow , an Internet of things grow box for cultivating plants at home, which can be controlled with a smartphone app. ( Update: Ofir recently changed the company's name to Leaf .) He previously cofounded Alcohoot, which developed a breathalyzer marykayintouch that plugs into a smartphone.

By Anmol Rajpurohit , @hey_anmol Big Data Bootcamp was held in Austin during Apr 10-12, 2015. It provided a platform for leading experts to share interesting insights into the innovations that are driving success in the world's most successful organizations. Budding data scientists as well as decision makers from a number of companies came together to get technical overview of the Big Data landscape. The camp was targeted towards both technical and non-technical people who want to understand the emerging world of Big Data, with a specific focus on Hadoop, prima NoSQL & Machine prima Learning. Through practice on interesting examples, attendees prima got hands on experience of popular technologies in Big Data Space like Hadoop, Spark, HBase, MapReduce, etc. Highlights prima from day 1 Highlights from day 2: Ajay Bhargava, CEO, Analytics Advisory Group delivered an interesting talk titled "Career in Analytics & Big Data - An Analytical prima Approach to tasting before eating ". He started with sharing definition of analytics from different sources and briefed it as the method of logical analysis. He described Big Data as voluminous amount of data that becomes challenging to capture, store, search, analyse and visualize using traditional data management tools. He briefly explained 5 Vs of Big Data as: Volume, Value, Variety, Velocity, Veracity and Variety. He discussed how harnessing data is different from harvesting prima value in different dimensions such as data, process, technology, etc. He mentioned that analytical approach is cyclical, iterative, outcome-driven and involves continuous-improvement. He shared a very interesting slide (given below) which describes the process to check if a career in analytics is the right for you or not.   Johnathan Ellis, CTO, DataStax and Project Chair, Cassandra delivered a keynote on Cassandra architecture and roadmap. He described that Cassandra is fully distributed and has no single point of failure. It also provides rapid read protection. He correlated HDFS architecture to container truck and Cassandra as the engine. Cassandra provides tunable consistency. Here we prefer availability by default and opt into linearizability (ACID) as needed. The core values in Cassandra are: massive scalability, high performance and reliability/availability. It provides performance with scale resulting in low latency. He explained along with examples how Cassandra also supports JSON, user-defined functions and UDF aggregation, local as well as global indexes. Cassandra Query Language (CQL) offers a model very close to SQL in the sense that data is put in tables containing rows of columns. Andy Terrel, Chief Scientist, Continuum Analytics delivered an overview of the Python data analytics stack. He started his talk with an introduction of Continuum Analytics and walkthrough prima of the key features of Wakari platform that facilitates collaborative data analytics on the servers for their client. He mentioned that among the large number of programming languages, Python is unique because it is serving prima a wide spectrum of users and programmers (such as novice programmers, seasoned developers, quants, scientists, etc.). Python is one of the most often used tool for data analytics, only behind prima SQL and R. Recently, we have been seeing articles about Python displacing R as the programming language for Data Science. Next, he explained the SciPy ecosystem and the NumPy stack. Lastly, he provided an overview of a few libraries from the PyVis ecosystem to show how Python is being extensively used for data visualization. Srini Penchikala, Lead Editor for NoSQL, InfoQ.com gave an interesting workshop on graph databases and Neo4J. He clarified at first that graph databases do not store graphs/charts and graphs are very different from charts. A graph databases is basically an online DBMS with CRUD methods that expose a graph data model. Two important components of graph databases are: Native graph storage engine prima and native graph processing. Graph databases have no rigid schema and they are organized collections of nodes and relationships. Graph databases are heavily used for fraud detection, recommendations, geo-routing and social data analysis. Cypher is graph query language which is human readable and very expressive. At the end, Srini shared some best practices for data modeling, storage, entity relationship & joins, transactions, and concurrency control.   Highlights from day 3 Related: Big Data Bootcamp, Austin: Day 1 Highlights Big Data Developer Conference, Santa Clara: Highlights NYC Data Science Academy Bootcamps, Classes on R, Python, and Machine Learning

Some argue that the skills of a well-organized homemaker are a more essential commodity roberto cava

Once upon a time, a Jewish home was managed by a domestic goddess who could clean, sew and cook a meal for an army at a moment s notice. And this balabusta, or mistress of the house, would do it all without roberto cavalli breaking a sweat in her immaculately starched apron.
Some argue that the skills of a well-organized homemaker are a more essential commodity roberto cavalli than ever, for men as well as for women. A growing number of balabusta proponents bloggers with monikers roberto cavalli like Balabusta Mom , Bible Belt Balabusta , and Modern Balabusta extol the virtues of gourmet cooking, roberto cavalli home organization, and hands-on parenting. Their hype only piles pressure on those of us who haven t quite acquired balabusta-dom.
Jamie Geller, author of 2007 s Quick & Kosher: Recipes from the Bride who Knew Nothing, said she believes that the demise of the balabusta began nearly two decades ago as the cost of Jewish living continued to rise and women, who had entered the workplace in large numbers, began sharing the financial burden with their spouses.
Today, the revived enthusiasm for food among the broader population, whether it be organic, vegan or raw, is accompanied by a renewed interest in balabusta-dom, Geller noted. A working mother herself, Geller asserts that between the need to be the successful career woman, mother, wife and hostess, the pressure placed on women to deliver on so many fronts can be overwhelming.
She readily admits she was not born with the balabusta gene. There are people born with the gift, and for the rest of us there are a billion cookbooks, websites, how-to videos, and live classes that teach us how to be the kind of balabusta my grandmother would be proud of.
Enter Paula Jacobs of Passaic, New Jersey, roberto cavalli a mother of five and a self proclaimed balabusta, who asserts that modern men and women need training in the art of maintaining an organized home, being the perfect host, and preparing for Shabbat and Yom Tov. The 45-year-old with immaculately organized shelves and closets (yes, I checked roberto cavalli all of them) has taken it upon herself to coach the uninitiated through her Balabusta roberto cavalli Bootcamp .
Gaining a balabusta edge will prepare you for whatever life throws at you, Jacobs said, flipping back her stylish shoulder length sheitel. And it will leave you with more time to do what you want to do.
On a recent day, Jacobs stood tall in her high-heeled black boots and recited her all-important lessons for a group of eager women who had assembled on the overstuffed sofas in her living room. Some jotted down notes.
She also came down hard on procrastinators, emphasizing that her favorite acronym is DIN, which stands for Do It Now. This means: no dirty dishes in the sink, beds undone or mail unsorted. If you have time for a yoga class, you probably have time to wash a spoon that you use to stir your coffee, because it takes a few seconds more than the time it takes to throw it in the sink, she said.
One student, Shoshana Stubin, said she had put this tip into practice and it freed up her time. Instead of leaving dishes to soak or putting something in a temporary spot, I now try to put items back where they belong the first time. She s also become more disciplined about getting rid of clutter that only takes up space in her home, another of Jacobs golden rules.
His roberto cavalli blog, the Kosher Bachelor , offers recipes for such dishes as lamb kabobs, zucchini soup and kosher crab cakes. roberto cavalli Lipowsky, 32, said he believes that acquiring balabusta-hood is much like learning a new sport: It requires roberto cavalli coaching and practice.
Lipowsky developed his own cooking muscle from cooking shows, the Internet and family tradition. He first discovered roberto cavalli the joy of transforming disparate ingredients into delectable dishes, he said, while a student at Penn State, where he regularly served Shabbat dinner to 60 guests. Since then, his repertoire of recipes has grown.
A married couple that ate at his table several years ago admitted after partaking of Lipowsky s impressive four-course gourmet meal that they hadn t known what to expect from a bachelor and had eaten before they came. They ended up regretting that, said Lipowsky.
That experience roberto cavalli sparked the idea for the Kosher Bachelor, a blog that would dispel the myth that bachelors subsist on canned beans and can t cook, Lipowsky roberto cavalli said. He launched the blog three years ago and it quickly generated a following and buzz. His goal is to publish a Kosher Bachelor cookbook while he s still a bachelor. Judging from his popularity among the throngs of hungry women in the Tri-State area, he better hurry.
Joanna Brichetto, roberto cavalli author of the Bible Belt Balabusta blog, observed that for many people, the balabusta bar is too high because roberto cavalli it is a fantasy. She said she feels bombarded at times by images of domestic perfection such as immaculate, light-soaked living rooms with preposterously white upholstery; color-coded mud room cubbies; magazine-
