O Alan Moore, o which has characterized the movement "Occupy" as "a perfectly legitimate cry in moral outrage," joins forces with his partner in V FOR VENDETTA, David Lloyd and 50 other authors, for OCCUPY yesstyle COMICS, one anthology inspired by the protests.
"You could say that Alan Moore and David Lloyd are informal spiritual fathers of the movement," he told Wired.com, manager Occupy Comics, Matt Pizzolo. "It's really great to see these two authors, whose work inspired the demonstrators take part in a creative project inspired by the protesters."
The Moore will participate in a text (which, as everything suggests, will be illustrated with illustrations), and which explores the principles of the movement. The project seeks funding through Kickstarter, described as "one time capsule of the passions and emotions that lead the movement" and includes single-issue comics, which succeed one hardcover collection and a making-of documentary, produced by Patrick Meaney, director the GRANT MORRISON: TALKING WITH GODS, and WARREN ELLIS: CAPTURED yesstyle GHOSTS. The campaign for raising money expires in three days and so far collected more than $ 15,000 yesstyle dollars, far exceeding the original target of $ 10,000.
Besides Moore and Lloyd, participate in the anthology by Michael Allred, Darick yesstyle Robertson, yesstyle Douglas Rushkoff, Ben Templesmith, Si Spurrier, Dean Haspiel, Amanda Palmer, JM DeMatteis, Steve Niles, Dan Goldman, Charlie Adlard, Susie Cagle, Shannon yesstyle Wheeler, Molly Crabapple, Ryan Ottley, Joshua Dysart, Joseph Michael Linsner, Joe Keatinge, B. Clay Moore and Joshua Hale Fialkov.
