Kenra poseidon Volume 25 is a perfect working spray because it never leaves flakes, has residue, or has too hard of a hold where it is not pliable. It is important when using a hot tool that the spray is not so strong that it could possibly break the hair with so much heat. A super strong hairspray, if you must, is best for the end, giving your hair the ability to withstand a zombie apocalypse.
A working spray is named such because of its great ability to handle heat and heavy petting. Some hairsprays, if handled too much will turn white and will have fly-aways all over the place, making the hair look unpolished. Others are too strong and have so much alcohol, one false move (and just like anything else with too much alcohol) it’s on its fried, dried and laying on its side. I misted my client’s hair scalp to ends, section by section, with a light coating of the hairspray. Then one more spray after all was said and done.
*Bonus tip – When a client comes in and wants their curled for, say a school dance, BUT they flat-ironed it before school that day (ahem see above), the hair will have a hard time curling with a curling iron.
